His feature film &#8220;Baracoa&#8221; was nominated for the Best Documentary Award at the 2019 Berlinale and won the Youth Award at Sheffield Doc\/Fest and the Audience Award at the M\u00e1laga Film Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">His short films &#8220;\u00c0 beira de Lisboa&#8221;, &#8220;A barca&#8221;, &#8220;Pezcal&#8221; and &#8220;Traces&#8221; have been recognized at festivals such as Locarno Film Festival, Visions du R\u00e9el, Ji.hlava and Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen. His short film &#8220;Ram\u00f3n y el r\u00edo&#8221; was also presented as part of a collective installation at Cannes Film Festival, alongside a piece by Apichatpong Weerasethakul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">After studying cinema at the Universidad Nacional de C\u00f3rdoba in Argentina, he graduated with a Master\u2019s degree in Film Direction from ECAL\/HEAD in Switzerland. In educational contexts, he has worked alongside filmmakers such as Abbas Kiarostami, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Pedro Costa, Teresa Villaverde and Nicolas Humbert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">He is now completing a new feature film, &#8220;Ragazzi al Fiume&#8221;, and developing &#8220;Negra Noche&#8221;, a new project with the same protagonists as &#8220;Baracoa&#8221;. In addition to his filmmaking work, he regularly teaches and gives talks at film schools such as HEAD\u2013Geneva and CISA\u2013Locarno.
